niostem recommends cleaning the electrodes 2x per week with any paper tissues. This is specially important when the booster gel is used. For hygienic reasons is it recommended to clean the electrodes regularly.
To clean the electrodes, gently rub away the pins with a wet or dry tissue. Leaving traces of gel on the electrodes will not alter the performance of the device in the short term. However, if too much gel leftover dries and builds up for weeks the electrode performance can decrease i.e. it will be more difficult to get a good scalp-electrode connection. Alternatively, you can remove all electrodes 1x a week and rinse them under running tap water. Dry them completely before putting them back on the device. niostem does not recommends doing this more than 1 time a week as constant detachment of the electrodes can result in loose connection of the electrodes to the device.

The body of the device can also be cleaned with wet or dried tissues. If electrodes fall accidentally from the device, carefully insert them back into their snap connectors. They are exchangeable. They must be fixed firmly and you’ll hear a click sound when they are well set.
